Got $450 in cash, and an Academy $40 gift card for Christmas. Also have about $150 in change in a Jack Daniels bottle.

Have been looking at both the Eotech 3x with the flip to side mount to go on my Bushmaster, which I just put the OPMOD holo sight on with last years Christmas $$$. I have a Ruger GP100 .357 mag with a six inch barrell, but have been wanting a semi-auto small enough for periodic carry, but large enought handle as a truck carry gun. So, have been looking at the Beretta 92 F/FS compacts. I really like the PX4 Storm, but just too large for the periodic carry.

Guess I could blow it all on cigars, but would rather have one or the other of the previously mentioned guns or add-ons.

Anyone have experience with the Eotech 3x with flip to side, or the Beretta 92 compacts?

Please share, and MERRY CHRISTMAS Outdoor Board!

I'd get the beretta as there are a lot of serviceable magnifiers out the re for less than the eotech

Get the Beretta.

I have a centurion 92 (same barrel/slide as compact but with grip and mag of standard 92) and it has been one of the best guns I have ever owned.

The eotech is just another piece of tech crap that will be outdated in a year and worthless in six.

The 92 series of handguns are very good, so I would not try to talk you out of one if that is what you really want. However, I find the above quote a bit strange. A PX4 Storm Compact will be shorter, lighter, and thinner than a 92 compact. IOW, a PX4c will be easier to carry, so if carry size is important, I wonder why you would consider something that will be larger and heavier, instead of something smaller and lighter.

Heck, even a full-sized PX4 compares well to a 92c as far as carrying goes. The only thing you gain (or loose, depending on your perspective) with a 92c over a full-sized PX4 is a *slightly* shorter length and height. Or to put it another way, there will be no practical difference in "carryability" between a 92c and PX4, especially since the 92c will be heavier. Just something to think about.....
