So I saw an article in the SA-Express that the Rebecca Creek whiskey is getting released this week. Does anybody know what day it is going to be released and where it can be picked up?

I talked to one of the owners a few months back at the Austin Coaches Night, he said Twin Liquors was one of their big pre-sale orders

I found the article you are talking about, there is one glaring error in it. The owners met while they were students at A&M, not Texas State

I talked with a sales rep back on opening day of dove season. He let us enjoy a few samples while hunting. He had mentioned Costco's Liquor Store will carry it. Now I did not ask him if that was all the Costcos or just the San Antonio area.

My uncle is the owner. It's actually been released and is in Republic Beverage Distributer trucks now headed to Specs stores around the Houston and Austin areas right now. Give it another couple of weeks.

It's a solid whiskey. Nothing too spectacular, but I'm happy to buy a Texas product over the standard Canadian bottle that I usually buy.

Enjoy!

Remember they make Enchanted Rock Vodka too. As far as Vodka goes, it's a really good example...

And my uncle went to Texas State... He may have been at A&M at some point, but his degree is from Texas State.

Two of the big money backers are Aggie Grads. Steve Ison and Mike Cameron are Texas State grads. They both worked for David Ison Insurance in San Antonio. They came up with the idea but Aggie money is what made it happen.

phideaux, any of it headed to the DFW area?

BurnetAg- Correct. Mike Cameron is my uncle.

CC- I'm quite certain it will be. It is a saturation process. First they will do SA, Austin and Houston, then they'll branch further into DFW, Louisiana and the Panhandle of Texas. From what I understand it's moved as far North as Santa Fe, but I may have misheard that.

Twin Liquors in Kyle and South Park meadows both got it in today

Picked up two bottles from Twin Liquor in New Braunfels.

Taste tested it on ice and it was pretty smooth. Plus it is from the Texas Hill Country, so I would buy it again.

Isn't that the same people who make Enchanted Rock vodka? I tried some at the FTW Coach's Night and it was delicious!

Yes sir, it is the same maker of E-Rock.

The whiskey is certainly decent. It's not an award winner I don't think, but it holds it's own with all the major competition. Being from Texas, I'll buy it too.
