Do dove not fly as much in wind? It's probably constant 15-20 out here, and I've seen 2 in 30 minutes, where there are normally a good amount of birds.

Saw Bigfoot in you screen name and thought maybe you were from Bigfoot TX. I was hunting out there today and it was very windy and dove weren't flying for crap.

Bigfoot is a town just off 173 on FM 472 just South ofDevine. Also an old Olmos oil field.

They still have to eat. Hunted in 20+ wind Wednesday and it was a beetch...but scratched out a limit. Damn birds were cruising!!!!

No, not in Bigfoot, but outside Groesbeck. I think I saw 5 birds in an hour and a half. And I was on water, so I thought that would help, but apparently didnt.

I think I may be done here until we get some colder weather.

I was hunting south of Abilene today. It was definitely a testament to the magic of a mojo dove. I had dove flying with a 30 mph tailwind absolutely put the breaks on and circle to my mojo.
