P20C2 MKII - XP-G S2 - $68.99 is your best bet, IMHO...

$18 more, but that is the shipped price. I'd highly recommend it....

I have this too - $46.99:

That is my nightstand light. The lower setting is better for when ya just wake up, so you do not blind yourself. But, the higher setting is good for tactical use.

I have this as well - The Lumapower Trust 2 for $57.99. Nice light. I REALLY like the clip on it. Great for pocket carry.

Just a little above your budget but I sure love my Streamlight PT-2L.

This isn't the most impressive, but if you have a Mini Mag lying around, the Nite Ize LED insert works just fine, costs $10 and runs on AA batteries.

I have several L2 and L2P Solarforces I bought last year. Great lights!

Yes they are!

I have a few L2P and L2X hosts myself (with nailbender dropins). I really like the L2T though.

I have no idea on prices but this is one of the best reviews I have seen of 50 plus flashlights(out to 300 yds +)

I hope this works:

Lots of "throwers" in that review.

Not $50 or less, but the most used light I have is a Zebralight

Just saw in my Midway USA flyer that Surefire G3s are on sale for $29.99. That's a great deal, but I would convert it to an LED lamp. I love my G2 with Cree C5 lamp.

Lots of chinese knockoffs that are actually pretty damned good. I have a couple under the "ultrafire" name that are really sweet. I have some parts on order for one so I can upgrade it to be a better thrower, but even as is, it's lights up very well. It's rated at 260 lumens, but realistically puts out around 220.

I concur on the zebralight. Just got the sc600 and it is my new favorite light 750 lm the palm of my hand. The sc600 runs 100 but there are several options around 50.

Surefires are over priced, IMHO. For 1/2 that, you can get a Solarforce that is 2x the brighter. Or, for the same price, get an awesome Eagletac that is still 2x brighter.

Only Surefire I'd ever consider would be the X300 - a pistol light. If I had to pay surefire prices, I either wouldn't have any lights, or I'd have 1 or 2 - and not 20+

I know many with Solarforce lights AND Surefires. They all say that the quality is the same in their eyes. The anodizing on the solarforces are pretty nice
