I was behind an SUV today and it had what I'm guessing were supposed to be his and her's Browning decals on it. The pink one even had a bow on it's head which in and of itsself is stupid since the decal is a buck's head not a doe.

I'm a die hard fan of my Brownings in fact it's the only brand of shotgun I own but I don't feel compelled to put their logo on the back of my truck. It seems like I'm seeing lots of these decals lately but maybe it's been around and I just haven't noticed. I don't usually see other gun brand decals on cars.

These are the same people who wear camo in public, when they aren't hunting. They've also probably never hunted either.

I feel like the Browning stickers were the "fishing shirts" of the early 2000s and it has blown up since then. Good intentions starting out with guys who truly supported or lived and died by the brand (hunters, trap shooters, etc) just like the fishermen who wore the Columbia shirts because they truly got use out of them. Along the way, someone thought it was cool even though they might not own a Browning or even hunt...and the "fad" catches on.

No offense to the guys on here who sport the sticker, because I'm sure you have it for the right reasons, but I feel we are in an ever shrinking minority.

I shoot a Browning, and think the logo is pretty cool in it's simplicity. However, because it now seems to scream "******bag" more often than not, I don't think I could put the sticker on my truck.

I graduated high school in 03. A guy 1 year older than me got a buckmark tattoo shortly after graduating. He hunts and fishes alot and at the time it was interesting.

Now, knowing what the buckmark has become, it seems dewwwshey.

Most of the people that have this sticker have no idea that it is for Browning at all. All they see is a "deer sticker".

+1 Is it hunting or football season yet? Topics are getting worse and worse on this board.

I'd equate it to the John Deere fashion (for lack of a better term). People who don't use a product sporting it because they want to fit in or identify with a certain lifestyle or type of people.

So if I bought an A-bolt does it mean i was suckered by the logo?

Sportsman's was closing and I snagged it for super cheap with a buckmaster for $40 under list.

I threaten my wife now by telling her that I'm going to find a pink Browning sticker and put it on her Jeep. She retorts by saying she'd be the only one in our town with a pink Browning sticker that knows how to skin a deer.

Hey now, don't hate on supporting members. You are right though. I had at least a dozen people ask for stickers last year. Told them to pay the dues and they immediately neglected.

I have family in Midland and Odessa. I'd say all the 'women' know how to skin a deer, process all the meat, tan the hide, produce any kind of taxidermy mount you want, and more than likely grind meat and stuff sausage casings without a meat grinder or injection tube (and don't get me started on where the casings would come from). This is all speculative of course, because my family in west/northwest-central Texas is a kind of like the family you would have in Louisiana if you had it.

That being said, having never seen your wife, she may not be half the man of the women I'm related to, but if she can skin a deer...

the gay guy that used to live across the street from me had a browning sticker on his hybrid. to his credit, i know that he has actually bird hunted/sporting shot before.

I don't really mind when it is one Browning sticker on a truck. Saw a truck on Monday that had taken all the "F-150" and "Ford" emblems off his truck and replaced them with Browning stickers. He even put small ones on his side mirrors and head lights/tail lights. Some serious dewsh-baggery.

You guys are rookies..... The real hunters don't put them on a truck.

My favorite hate is a dark green hat with the Buckmark on the front. Several years ago I was ordering lunch at Jason’s Deli in B/CS and the girl at the counter looked at my hat and said she thought it was so stupid that so many people around town have that Chinese word on their car/hat/shirt when they probably didn’t even know what it means.

As an aside, the two best shotguns Browning ever made had zero Buckmarks on the gun.
