never trim or prune a magnolia tree. NEVER.

it will take years for the branches to grow back. YEARS.

spray thuricide on the leaves. safe, organic pesticide that will kill lots of nasty creatures that consume the foliage for up to 3 days after application.

next time, plant the magnolia in a corner of the yard or house. it's not an ideal shade ornamental.
