grilled salmon filet suggestions

I can't download the cookbook so I don't know if there's a recipe for salmon there. I'm looking for suggestions for grilled salmon filets. I usually just do something simple with olive oil, sea salt, pepper and garlic, but I want to try something different. Let's hear 'em!

You might try this one, it sounds like it would go great with grilled salmon.

Jerk Marinade/Sauce by swamptstander

2 Tbs Cayenne pepper
1 ½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp Ground sage
¾ tsp Ground nutmeg
1 Tbs Ground allspice
1 Tbs Dried thyme
¾ tsp Ground cinnamon
2 Tbs Garlic powder or fresh
1 Tbs Sugar
¼ cup Olive oil
¼ cup Soy sauce
¾ cup White Vinegar
½ Orange juice
½ cup Lime juice
4 habanero or jalepeno peppers -chopped
3 Green onions - chopped
1 Onion - chopped

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Marinade chicken parts 1 hour before grilling. I boil any remaining marinade and then use as a baste.

Blackened Salmon is one of my favorites.

Try starting with the following

1 party of each:

White Pepper
Black Pepper
Cayane
Paprika
Onion Powder
Garlic Powder


Combine all those spices and mix them. Then get a stick of butter and melt it. Cover the Salmon in the butter thouroughly and then apply the rub very generously around the fish. Cook on a grill that is around 7-800 degrees. Length depends on size of meat but a thin piece of salmon should be 15-30 seconds a side. You can add salt to the mix but I don't like using much salt in my cooking.

Twix... I simply do S&P, Chili Powder, and Olive Oil... and use wild caught, the farm raised tends to kill all the good stuff like Omega 3s and such...
