I was some 285/70/17 tires for my truck. I have an 03 Ford F150 FX4. Will they work on my stock rims? I currently have 265/70/17s.

I think the 285s will rub when the wheels are turned at max.

They did on my 2000 f150 2x4. the lift from the 4x4 might make it ok though.

why not go 285-75-r17 those should be the biggest max that you can fit on without a lift kit.

I had 285 on my '01 four wheel drive. I don't remember if they were 70 or 75 though.

They didn't rub.

I have that exact same year truck - an '03 FX4 and I'm running 285/70/17 BFG A/T's with absolutely ZERO issues whatsoever. No rubbing, no binding, no issues with turning radius. They've been through all types of mud, dirt, snow/ice...and when they wear out, I'll get another pair.

*they do wear down slightly faster than the stock 265/70/17's that came with the truck, but nothing major and very little noise on the highway.

I had 315's(BF goodrich 315/75R*17s) on my 2002 F-150 Fx4 and then went back down to 305's(BF 305/75R*17). I raised the tortion bars and was able to fit em under there without any lift and on stock rims. And it looked GOood.

a little rub with the 315's and none with the 305's. hope this helps.

~$50-$100 depending on destination location and tire weight.

Do those tires last as long as the new ones? What's the catch?

104 bucks shipped to vegas. The catch is they are used sidewalls. I read a lot of reviews and no complaints. A guy I work with has some and he said they are good.
