A guy at work brought in some spicy pickle slices for our Thanksgiving potluck. He makes them by adding "peppers and a few spices" to the jar when he cans the cucumbers to make pickles and they're delicious. They're seriously like candy and I could eat a whole jar in a sitting or two.
In trying to come up with a way to make some "spicy pickles" through a little bit quicker process, I had the idea to combine hamburger dill slices and pepperocinis, mix the juices, and re-jar them together. They turned out great! I think I will drain the dill pickle juice off in the future so they have a little bit more of the pepperocini flavor.
Of course, I also saw that the grocery store sells jars of "Hot Pickles" now.
Just an FYI if anyone likes to make their own relishes. Y'all already may be doing this and I'm just a dunce for only discovering it recently.
