So I am deciding between bay/beach house, condo on the comal/ guadelupe, charter fishing or possibly all inclusive cancun trip for my buddies bachelor party next may. Anybody got some suggestions or experience?

Yeah, paying serious cash for blue balls and getting lit (something you can do anytime) bets a good day fishing with your buddies.

Mine was a buddies' ranch. No strippers. No complaints. Been married 10 years and like the fact that I can remember my bachelor party and wouldn't be embarrassed if it was discussed in front of my wife, in-laws, parents, friends at church, or little Jock.

Even with judeo-christian moral aspect aside, I just don't get spending mad cash to be sexual frustrated. I can get that at home for free.

my wife encouraged it because I've never been to an "establishment" like that. mine parents assumed it went before i did. ive dated her since spring 01 it wanst that big of a deal. 400 bucks between 3 guys isnt bad.

if it helps we were going to go fishing in the morning except for the T- Storms

and our misadventures getting there, being there, and coming back all made for good stories.

$400 for a bachelor party at a strip club? That will barely buy the first bottle of "champagne" in the VIP area! Well thats what 02 told me anyway....my bachelor party was a fishing trip and I wouldn't change a thing we had a blast!

We rented a greyhound bus and went up and down Richmond\Westheimer in Houston for about 12 hours. Absolute blast, and no drunk driving.

We were at Rick's in Austin last weekend for one.

From what I understand the establishment was shut down this week.

If you have access to a boat for every 3-4 people (not a guide), I would recommend doing a cast and blast on the last weekend of duck season.

That is what I did. It is cheaper to rent a house in the off season. If you go this route, don't forget the boat bag of oysters and a grill. Thank me later.

we did the strip club for my bachaloer party after we didnt think we were going there, i would of loved it to only cost 400 bucks. But we had about 10-12 people....would of rathered a good fishing trip.

You should do a blast and cast or cast and blast whichever.

My now wife insisted to my best man that a strip club be included somewhere during the evening. So we ended up at the fine establishments of Baby Dolls-FW (some here will know the difference, this was about 3 years ago) and Jaguars. I can safely say (and sadly) that between 6 of us, I'm pretty sure $400 wasn't spent. I'm cheap, won't drink more than one in public, I'm a wildlife biologist, my buddies were small town cops, and my best man was unemployed at the time. Needless to, the ladies didn't hang out with us (the three guys that scream "cop" didn't help).

We spent the next morning, up until about an hour before the wedding, out at Alpine Shooting Range shooting stuff. Great times and wouldn't want to change a thing.

If we did the bay house, any good recommendations on where. I kinda would like to try somehwere besides Galveston.

If you are spending $400 at a titty bar and walking out of there with blue balls, you are doing it completely wrong. There are plently of places in Houston, Dallas and elsewhere that you can get that taken care of. Just saying...

Trip to Cancun or playa del carmen would be my vote unless you are just doing a weekend trip. But I don't like short trips. It would be the most expensive option though.

I went for a bachelor party weekend on the guadalupe in april. It was a good low cost option since we were all recent grads or still in college. It was a lot of fun, and lots of stories to tell and remember.

The only problem with the river is that you cant tell whether there will be water enough to float.

It sounds like you need to plan a trip to Mexico. That sounds like the best option on your board.

$400 between 3 people. That'll get you each a few cocktails and ~3 or 4 songs at any place worth going.

...now for $400 per person, the experience can change dramatically...i would suspect.

call me lame, but i am in the 'strippers are a waste of money' camp.

my party started with lots of guns, clay tourney, lots of ammo, and ended with a cabin, gambling, beer, liquor, good bbq, better friends, and boones farm pass-around game.

i wouldnt have changed a thing.

So let me get this straight.....drinking boones farm out of the same bottle as your buddies is good, but having hot chicks dancing in your lap with some big ole knockers on your forehead is bad? I just really don't know what to say about that.

However, let me say this....I absolutely love me some Blue Hawaiian Boones Farm, but there ain't no way in hell I am sitting around with my guys friends drinking that out of the same bottle on my last night/week of being single.

If you have your own boat(s), I would recommend Rockport or Aransas Pass (stay away from Port Aransas).

I gotta go with txaggie02 on this debate....

Go to Cabo for three days. Pool money on a room or two and stack em in like cord wood to cut costs. Go offshore (say Pisces Fleet to cut cost) fishing where the percentage of billfish catch is probably the best. Oh and take hot Mexican dancers on board with you for the day.

Best of both worlds.

And if any of the Batchelor Party goers comes home with an "odor", excuse provided via a good day catching...

Ok decided on bay/ beach house now I need some recommendations. Looking for some good fishing, and some places to go out at night. Anyone tried Louisiana so maybe can go to Casinos also? Thanks guys

first off i never said it was bad. I said i thought it was a waste of money.


my buddies dont charge me to shoot the **** with them. for me, time with good friends beats wasted money on *****s.

i'll be the first to say that i know everyone wont agree with me. But their agreement with me doesnt cheapen my time spent.

txag, if you are looking to go fishing in Louisiana, you might check out Lake Calcasieu. I have heard alot of good things from there and its close to the Texas/La border. You could then hit the casinos in Lake Charles. We always fish in Delacroix, but it is nowhere near a casino and is pretty much a small, run down shrimp town. Other than fishing, there is absolutely nothing there to do.
