Can I mix 24D and Cimmarron in the same batch?

I have some weeds and bahia I need to kill in my pasture. I wanted to know if I can mix in one batch and spray once.

What is Cimmaron and what formulation of 2,4 D do you have (amine or ester)

24D is amine.
Cimmarron is for the bahia. I don't remember exactly what the base is. It is similar to Ally.

Should be no problem.

What about MSMA instead of Cimmaron?

I thought you were talking about a 2-4 D in football. That would be crazy... crazy awesome.

Yes you can mix them.

Cimarron will also kill a broad spectrum of weeds on it's own as well, but it takes a little longer for the weed to die. We use both, but will opt to use straight Cimarron in areas around our neighbor's houses since it is unrestricted to avoid possible issues.

why dont you just buy cimarron max?

it is sold as a co-pack of a jug of banvel D (weedmaster) and a 5 oz bottle of cimarron. the rate is 1:15 or 1:20 acres. it is a better buy

an excellent suggestion. The 2,4-D/Dicamba/Ally mix is very good.

Unfortunately, it hasn't rained enough around here for bahia to be an issue...

It's still grass... cattle seem to do OK on it. It also produces a lot of forage, but it is hard to cure as hay. The only reason I see for getting rid of it is in a hay pasture or yard.

Cimmaron and Ally are the same thing.

Cimmaron Plus is what you need. It's Cimm with Gleen. It's awesome.

You probably can't use 2,4-D right now. It's volatile. If they have cotton in the ground now, the Co-op won't sell it.

I'm not sure if combining Cimmaron and 2,4-D is safe. But it's not efficient. They're close enough, that you're throwing money away.

that is true about 2,4-D volatility. be careful. avoid drift.

but the reason i am recommending cim. max is the fact that 2,4-D amine by itself has no residual, while weedmaster does. you can get around 30 days residual control. this will give you the fast knockdown that you want that straight cimarron plus cannot give. then with the 2 of them working together, it has a broader spectrum of weed control, plus they have a synergizing effect with one another. it is a good buy price wise for the cim max. you cannot go buy generic weedmaster and cimarron plus separately and hardly come out better on price than cimarron max.

i have some to sell if you want. that is what i do, sell ag chemicals. hit me up 979-272-8470
