I'm lookin to get some new boots. They will be an everyday type work boot and will be looking for something that is both a work boot that has a bit of a western look to it. What do you all like? Looking for comfort & durability.
I guess I should have put in the post that I currently wear Redwings and have been for the past 8 years. I love them. I'm just looking for a little variety!
Redwings are the most uncomfortable boots in the world IMO, I'm on my feet all day and love both my Justin Work Boots and Ariat work boots...both very comfortable and can take a pounding. Have owned 3 pairs of Redwings, 2 pairs of Justin and one pair of Ariats so I have experience with all 3 brands. I now alternate boots every couple of days and that seems to help my feet and wear and tear on the boots.
Ariat - Made in China. If there is anything more American than workboots / cowboy boots, then I don't know what it is. Therefore I'm not buying Chinese boots. Plus, in this economy, I want my dollar staying in the country.
I'm wearing a pair of Tony Lama TLX workboots. These were $150 when most of the workboots I found were ~$100 but I went with them and wear them almost daily. I'll buy another pair if/when these wear out.
I have cheap BA Mason workboots. I've never oiled them once. They will not die... I can't wear them out, and there are probably only a handful of people on here who abuse footwear like I do. I've worn them almost every day for 2 years. If anything, they are starting to stretch out a bit too much and I might replace them... but before I do that I'm going to try to soak & dry them and get them to stiffen up.
A lot of the boot makers don't make boots in my size... redwing is pretty good about that, but these BA Mason boots are a LOT cheaper. Like $109 a pair.
Currently wearing Red Wing 2270's. They were a godsend on the rig this past summer. I wore the soles off of my wolverine durashocks, and I mean literally wore the soles off (luckily at the end of my hitch). Ill never own anything besides Red Wings for work boots.

twisted X, may be alright for casual wear but theres no way they last as a work boot. I'm extremely hard on boots, when I buy a pair its for work, play, everyday. The best pair I've had were the Rocky's with the Tekno Ride sole. Ariat makes a boot that will last as well. The worst I've had as far as durability were Double H and Anderson Bean (they both look good and are fine for casual wear, but definitely not everyday boots)
