Hello all,
I decided to put this up on the Outdoors board rather than the general classifieds section, as the readership here will be more likely to appreciate this fine handgun.
I have too many .357's, so I have decided to let this one go. It is a Mk III version of the Colt Trooper w/4" barrel in excellent overall condition. It has factory adjustable rear sight, and comes with a nice set of Herret's "Shooting Star" target stocks. I would estimate it's cosmetic condition to be very good, with only very minor handling marks. There is no rust, and blueing is about 92-94%. Of course it functions perfectly, and has an excellent SA trigger pull. Sights are traditional post/notch, which is what one would expect in a revolver of this age.
This is 39 ounces of solid American steel. It's size and weight makes it very easy to shoot full-house .357's all day long. Loaded with .38's, it makes a great training gun for novices. It would also make a superb home defense gun (you would not want it for a carry gun) or short-range hog gun. The Shooting Star grips are better suited for medium to large hands.
The original box and instruction manuals are present, although the outer cardboard box is in poor shape. I do not have the original grips. I am asking $450.00 for an FTF deal here in the B-CS area. I would be interested in a trade for a DA .22lr revolver w/at least 4" barrel, or a Hammerli 208 or S&W 41 with cash added on my end (I know, a long shot), but no other trades please. If you are interested, please email me at: b-csphil at hotmail dot com.
thanks for your time,
Caladan
