Bought a new quadrail for my ar saturday.

Got the hand guard off that came with it but am having a heck of a time getting the new rail to go on.

Any suggestions?

I had another person helping and it just wouldnt go.

I had heard you can put them on without the forearm tool but I have had no luck yet in doing so.

I installed one without the tool Saturday night. Took a total of 10 minutes and the only reason it took that long was because I was trying to put it in backwards. So make sure it is going the right direction and put the top piece in 1st. and then install bottom rail, should just snap right in. Not sure what brand yours was or what length mine was carbine length

Mine is a Bushmaster and it is a carbine also.

What brand is the rail?

Took mine off by had and put them back on by hand.. It just takes extreme effort and patience.

Got it done - went on pretty easy when I tried it again this afternoon!

Sounds like it was a two piece handguard replacement.

Sometimes you really have too man-up with those...
