Help?

Does anyone know of a person who could help fill out the paper work for a TERP grant? I'm wanting to apply for one to replace an older tractor. I hear there are consultants out there to help fill them out. The TCEQ folks won't recommend anyone as they don't want the liability.

If you find one, please share the info. I'm planning to recover as much tax money as possible...

Will do. The paperwork looks overwhelming. I could do it but I would rather pay someone to fill it out.

It's a damn good deal from what I hear. Definitely worth it.

Just follow the paperwork and take pictures of EVERYTHING! Document Serial numbers, casting/block imprints or markings and you need a picture of the engine inside of the machinery (far enough back so that you can see the entire machine and the engine inside.)

There are people out there, but it's not really hard to do your self. Just get the forms and fill in the blanks.

el presidente, what county are you located in? You can't just use TCEQ on any diesel engine....it has to be in one of the eligible counties. I work for a power equipment company that does millions of dollars in TERP projects since we supply diesel engines for alot of equipment (cranes, trucks, oilfield, pumps, etc.). It doesn't matter who you have fill out your paperwork since it is likely a large majority of your cost will be covered by the state. You will get more funding depending on the amount of hours you run and how old your engine is. The older the engine and more you run it, the more NOx you are removing from the air and hence the more funding.

txaggie02 - we are in Bastrop county which is an eligible county. Looking to get rid of an old IH Model 986 tractor. It's about 90 to 100 hp tractor. We bought it in 1978. The paperwork looks overwhelming. I guess we'll give it a go on our own.

You will most likely want to get in on the "Rebate Grant" since you probably aren't running that many hours. However, this is a first come, first serve basis (unlike the incentive grant).

And I am not filling it out for you. That paperwork is a beotch. We typically fill it out for crane companies or pump companies who have about 10-15 of the same engines. That way you only have to fill it out once and you can just copy it all with exception to the serial number of the engine.
