Christmas gift, but it can't be just any ol' thing. The whiskey bottle passed around it will reach me at some point. $200ish

Baker Tank Head on the far north side of Fort Worth sells Fire pits of two different sizes. They come with a cooking grate and a foot rail. The big one is 40" diameter and is $375. I think the next size is 30" for $275. Last year, I bought the 40" model for my buddy and his wife that let me hunt on their place for free. Much cheaper than any lease fee I have ever paid!

for $200 you can get a pretty nice fire pit, but probably not that great of one from a place that makes them. i'd go to the home depot and lowes website, maybe even walmart or target and check them out.

FS,

Is this north or south of Alliance Airport? Do they have a grill on the top? I may try and swing by there tomorrow. If I can get one I'm gonna make a fire in my back yard for New Year's Eve.

Here's an idea:
  • 1. Dig hole of desired diameter and depth.
  • 2. Dig additional 2"-4" wider along entire circumference.
  • 3. Retain sod and dirt for fill/leveling in other parts of yard.
  • 4. Line said hole with bricks (*Note: may also line with old truck wheel rim but diameter will need to be adjusted)
  • 5. Buy piece of 3/4" or 1" plywood and cut to lay over/completely cover pit and liner
  • 6. Paint plywood to match grass using exterior paint
  • 7. Enjoy after forking over $$$$ to Al Gore to compensate for killing grass, tree/wood products to be burned and your increased 'carbon foot print'

Good Link FWR. Baker Tank Head wants $395 for a 40" pit and $345 for a 30" pit. No frills on them. I believe they come with a grate but there is no swivel. It's just a grate cap for the pit.
