DMSO (Dimethyl sulfoxide) was originally found to be useful as a treatment for equine athletes with muscle ailments.
Its effectivness in horse barns quickly attracted the attention of others, and like many horse linaments in early years, it quickly jumped the specie barrier into the human medicine cabinet (Like Absorbine, Dr. Tichnor's Ointment, etc.)
I understand now that DMSO is no longer just a topical rub but has applications in an injectable form for both animals and humanoids.
It has a truly amazing list of anecdotal claims of superior restorative, healing and and preventive powers ... most of which the science community lays no claim to.
The only drawback to DMSO that I have heard about is that it leaves ones breath (quadraped or biped) smelling like the sewers of Saigon.
What has been your experience with different applications of DMSO?
