A&M won a bass fishing title last year (see story), but that was the "U.S. National Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship" sponsored by Boat US Angler.

A&M is currently No. 8 in the ESPNU Under Armour College Bass National Rankings.

All I know is that I tried to fish my way out of graduating and if they had an actual intercollegiate bass club when I was A&M I might have accomplished that goal.

Rackley and Knight are class guys. Had the privledge of meeting with them a couple of times last year and got to talk about fishing and their experiences.

Day one results from the Under Armour College Bass National Championship held at Lake Maumelle.

Here are the top five for the Under Armour College Bass National Championship after day one. The action picks back up at 6 a.m. Thursday on Lake Maumelle with the weigh-in scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at the Academy on West Markham. After that the field will be narrowed to the top five teams who will have to fish a mystery lake on the final day to earn the championship title.

Still in the hunt after a 3 fish day yesterday... hope the big ones are biting for us today!
