I need 10 or so 3 round M1 Garand clips for a funeral detail. Right now we load 5 spent casings and 3 live blanks on top. It would sure be a lot easier if we could simply load 3 blanks.

I'm not finding much on the web other than 2 round clips, which seem to be used for some sort of competition.

As far as I know they do not and have not ever made 3 round magizines. The 8 round clip was functional, a 3 round clip is not; the gun was made and primarily used in WWII and possibliy Korea. So I think you'll be out of luck.

Numrich has 2, 5, and 8 round clips. Never heard of a 3 round clip.

You can make them your self by cutting the edges of the 8 round clip down and forming them to accept the desired number of cartridges. I've got one around here somewhere that a fellow had made and told me how he did it. He said it worked well. I don't remember how many the one I have holds, but 3 rnds come to mind.

Thanks, I guess the 5 round would help some. Now that I think about it, a 3 round clip wouldn't work because on the 3rd volley all 7 rifles would eject a spent clip, which would probably be noisy.

the 2 round ones are 5 rounds if you turn them over. They are used in NRA/CMP High-Power competitions. Those clips ejecting would be really noisy in silence.
One question, arent 1903's usually used in those salutes?
