Just hung 70 on the ponies and cats, I too made a DB in the game b/c it's our weakest position. Icecream AG is right, the point of the DB drill is to prevent the computer from making points. Of course you cant cover the entire field, but when the ball is thrown your way you have to make a good play.
You can change the controls back to the '05 style (which is what I did) and gradually conform to the new buttons in exhibition if you don't want to learn on the fly in a season game.
I too threw the ball away a lot, even after I read the manual, but as colleyville heritage aggie said, "once you learn it, reggie is unstoppable." He's gonna win the heisman, even though my DB has brought 4 punts back to the house in 5 games and has 3 picks.
