I don't want to say remix a song because that's not what I'm looking for.

I've found a song I want to use for a video highlight. Everything is good except one thing. Halfway through the song, the kick drum changes. It starts sounding like whoever programmed the drum tracks accidently switched the kick drum sample or something. It goes from a smooth, solid kick to one that sounds like King Kong is stomping on the kick pedal, with a prominent midrange bump that is on the brink of distortion.

I've tried to EQ the track and that helps somewhat, but unfortunately as expected EQ also affects the rest of the instrumentation. I've also tried compressing the track but it doesn't do the trick either. Not good.

I've looked online but so far all I have found are programs that completely remix the song into a different style. Is there something out there that can pinpoint one instrument and just change that?

I have no clue but I have a buddy that just recently created a song for a childrens program at our church. He used Suno. I took his song and made some changes. I am not sure you can take another artist's published song and manipulate it.

You can use Ableton to isolate drums, music, vocals into their own separate tracks. Then you can edit the drum track separately and put them back together.
