My son '27 has been in Quantico at OCS since May. We go to his graduation next week. His Apple Watch is totally dead and won't charge / reset etc. was working fine before he left. Thoughts on how to resolve or where's to take for repair if possible? Thanks.

I'd probably just go online and make an appointment with the apple store. I haven't done that in a while, but that used to be the goto first step for anything not obvious, as I think they will give you a free diagnostic of it.

I had this issue on one of my kids watches once and I think I was able to revive it by putting on a charging puck and simultaneously holding down both the crown button and the other button on the side until the charging indicator showed up.

I'm not sure where I found that info to even try it and my recollection is a bit hazy but you can certainly give it a go. I seem to recall I had to do it quite a few times before it would charge normally though.

If it's still covered under AppleCare, then I'd take it to a Genius Bar for sure.

I'd take it even if it is still not under warranty.

Have your son wear his uniform when he goes; my cop kid received extra help when he was in uniform.
