Our new fridge has stopped making ice. I think I there is a setting we may have accidentally activated. I believe it's related to this red icon. Please help.

That red icon isn't a setting, it's a door-open/door-ajar indicator. When it's on, the fridge will stop making ice, even if the door looks closed. Try firmly reseating the fridge and freezer doors and make sure nothing is blocking them. If it stays on, it's likely a door sensor or alignment issue.

Agree, door sensor.

We had a kitchenaid side by side. On the freezer side there's a spring loaded flap that interrupts a light path, which stops the ice maker. Check YouTube for repair videos. Found parts on the internet to repair it myself.

Mine was 7-8 years old when it failed. If your fridge is new, then use the warranty
