It's hard to go wrong with Logitech in my opinion.
I think the trickiest thing is finding a true ambidextrous mouse. Most of the more advanced ones are going to be either left or right handed unless you start looking at a wired gaming mouse. I've never used one so I couldn't help you there.
I currently use a Logitech MX Anywhere 3S mouse. It's pretty close to ambidextrous with the one exception being two slim forward and back buttons on the left edge. Other than those two buttons, it's a mirror image. I just switched it to my left hand and I don't think it would bother me but you may not like it.
I actually use the 2S but the only difference is that the current model uses USB C to charge and mine uses micro USB. Overall I think it's a great mouse. \
-There are 6 buttons all customizable:
- Left Click
- Right Click
- Two Side buttons
- Clickable Scroll Wheel
- Button below the scroll wheel
-You can firmly press the scroll wheel to switch from smooth scrolling to a more clicky experience
-Very fast and smooth scrolling
-Bluetooth is standard but you can also buy a usb recevier
-works on any surface, even my whiteboard glass desk
-Compatible with Windows, Mac, ChromeOS, Linux, Ipads, basically anything.
-Charging port is out of the front so it can can still be used when charging
-You can remember 3 different devices. I have mine set to my desktop, laptop, and work laptop.
The only downside is that it cannot be converted to a wired mouse. So if you plug it in via a USB cable it will only charge and not transmit info. I also purchased the logibolt receiver so I can easily plug into an computer when I travel to my company's home office in NYC
