The hacker changed password
Added a phone
Changed email

So I can't reset
I can't get access to code

I'm going to admit to doing something stupid
I called CS of FB but it wasn't them.
Found out the hard way lol. So everything is changed {email and bank pass words} but I still need to get FB access to kill my account or get into it

Oh, I hate FB but I'm in insurance

Anyone have a real email address I can send

I am going to file a better business bureau complaint hoping that they will publish something
To me how to recover. The new phone number is an intl number {it says you can send code there}

Also, anything I can do on my phone to make sure I'm not being tracked?

Thanks for advice

There is a contact us link under their advertising page. This is one of the only ways to get in touch with an actual human; several friends have used this successfully to recover their accounts.

The fastest way is to sign up for Meta Verified which you can do through Instagram. It will cost you like $15 for a month subscription but will allow you to get in touch with an actual person who can help you get control back. Once its done, cancel the service

Start here
https://about.meta.com/technologies/meta-verified/

Ignore all the bs about being a creator etc. you'll need an Instagram account since your Facebook account is inaccessible

We run our business almost exclusively through Instagram and FB and I can confirm that this is your only shot. We have had some associates have success with this method.

This. Two-factor aka multi-factor authentication is the easiest way to prevent 95% of these issues. Everyone should actively enable it on every site you can. Don't wait for them to force you - enable it if it is an option!

2FA doesn't work when your assistant falls victim to social engineering. They actually had a conversation with the scammers on a video call. They were setting up a webinar for my wife and inadvertently gave them admin permissions to the verified FB page. To their credit, it was a very slick and well run set up. They mimicked a speaker booking service that others in our orbit had used before and relied on second hand referrals from others who didn't know it was a scam either. The speaking fee and terms they were offering were in line with industry standard and the contract was identical to one we'd seen in the past.

The day before she was supposed to give her talk I got a notification that her official page had posted a new video. When I checked it out, it was a clip of a Judge Judy episode. That's when I discovered I had been removed as an admin of the page along with my wife and her assistant. For the next 10 days they posted nothing but clips of Judge Judy in order to drive traffic to her already well established site. I'm guessing they wanted the legacy verified tag to sell to someone else or eventually would start scamming her fans.

Signing up for the "verified" service was the only way to get control back. Even her publicist had trouble getting in touch with Meta through their various backend contacts.

It could have been worse. At least the Judge Judy clips were entertaining.
