Accidental

For those in the datacenter world, the new rack design is going to be pretty sweet for dense builds.

All service for equipment within the rack will be done from the front. The rear of the rack is for the the power bus and liquid cooling distribution.

Obviously, this will requires industry standardization to avoid vender lockin. I didn't get a good feeling this has happened yet.

The units below are Dell and are supposedly available Spring 2025.

Is the form factor any different than a 19" rack?

depends on the product. We have cabinets that have so much DLC in it that they are non standard.
