I know there is a thread for the upcoming Diablo 4... But, based on blizzard over the last 10 years, consider me pretty uninterested until after reviews.
I've tried path of exile several times since ~2016 and could never really get into it. It is an extremely detailed game (Google the passive tree, if you've never seen it) and the difficulty ramps up quite a bit throughout the campaign; then you get to the "mapping" phase and it is an entire game in itself.
So many cool and unique builds you can do and all of your skills can be combined with others to make really interesting play styles.
It has finally got me over the last year or so. Finally folded and tried to "follow" a guide and it has really opened the playing experience up for me. I've been able to learn about all the complex mechanics while still playing and progressing in the game.
Micro transactions are mainly skins/texture although there are some QOL upgrades when you get deep in the game. Nothing you buy can make you "better".
Anyway, just wanted to see if there were any other ags who have tried it or play it.
