I have recently inherited a custom gaming computer. I don't know much about these custom systems. From running the BIOS it appears he built it in May of 2022. It has to have value as he always did things on the higher end for gaming.

I can't get into it - so it will need to be reset? How do I do this?
How can i figure out what components were installed?
Is there a marketplace for custom built gaming computers?

Look in Device Manager, type it into the search bar at the bottom of the start menu. That should list all of the installed components. The important stuff is CPU, ram and video adapter.

You can download installation media from Microsoft, Google " media creation tool" this will let you create a thumb drive to reinstall windows cleanly.

Do you mean you can't log into the computer?

You might need to do a windows restore. Depends on the data and if you need anything on there.

You can use a USB drive to create a restoration drive to wipe everything off but windows...

But you're going to need a windows key to clear an issue up or else it will put you in timeout after 30 days I believe. Whoever you acquired the system from should have that.

Sounds like you are trying to sell it though and not use it? Take the side panel off the PC and post what graphics card it has and it will likely give you an idea of how much $ was put into the rig

Before you wipe the computer, did the previous owner ever mention bitcoin, cryptocurrency, or block chain?

don't need any of the data from the computer,

edited to add: previous owner didn't mention anything about cryptocurrency.

Intel I9 11th gen (2021) with 16GB Memory and a 3080 NVidia card.
1TB samsung SSD

Very NICE PC.

Easily worth 1800-2500 depending on if thats watercooled and has more devices inside.

Install Win11 fresh on in… wiping whats there now…. License will Cost you $20 on brytesoft.

Looks like cooler master aio (most likely 240) and nzxt flow as the case?
Not sure why there's a fan chilling on the gpu though.
