Looking for suggestions for a 65" OLED. Budget is up to $2k. I've looked at the Samsung and LG at Best Buy - both are running specials. I'm not as familiar with the tech - but the picture is fabulous.

TIA.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

Samsung QD-OLED is the better technology, IMO. If you are looking for a 65" and you can get the Samsung S95B for an amount of money you are willing to spend, I don't think you can do better.

I have an LG from a couple years ago and the picture quality will just blow you away if you are into that kind of thing. The Samsung is supposed to be even better.

I have the S95B, but it has completely died after 3 months so I'm not sure I can recommend it. I will let you know after the technician is out on Friday.

I've had my eye on an LG C2 for a while now. Just haven't been able to pull the trigger.

I get nervous about having the new tech/panel for the first year...similar to new car make.

LG is apparently releasing OLED.EX panels which have +30% brightness compared to the previous. I think this is separate from the EVO technology they claim in G-series and new C2.

I'm very pleased with my 65" CX, and have been pleasantly surprised by the WebOS responsiveness and ease-of-use.

I've owned a Samsung then went to a LG. I much prefer the interface of the Samsung to the LG when using the "Smart Tv" features but that's just me.

I got an LG C1 this last year in 65". It is ridiculously awesome. I bought mine off greentoe, and got it WAY under even the sale price that stores were running at the time. Highly recommend taking a look.

What about an 85"?

Have a older 65" and wanting to make the size jump since my living room is much larger than it was a few years ago.

I have a Samsung QLED. I *love* the set, but have one real complaint. The Samsung apps suck. They freeze all the time. I have to get up and "reboot the TV," that is unplug it for about ten seconds, probably every other day on average.

I also have a Sony TV with Android apps. Those work much better (for me, at least), and there are more of them. For example, if I want to watch MLS soccer from Kansas City (or certainly NHL games from STL), I can only watch them on the Bally Sports App, meaning I can only watch on my Sony TV.

My VPN service also doesn't have a Samsung app, meaning I have to go to my Sony to do things like watch British broadcasts of World Cup soccer games.

The crappy Samsung apps aside, Samsung makes outstanding televisions.

Using built in apps is shooting yourself in the foot imo. You should always use a dedicated streaming device. Grab a firestick 4k max and you can add most andriod apps to it either natively or by sideloading.

Grab an 4K Apple TV and enjoy the best possible streaming box experience instead.

I got the 77" C2 a couple months ago. Absolutely love it, but I'm not a fan of the LG WebOS interface.

Bought a 4K Roku stick, and I'm going to start running everything but OTA and Blu Ray through that.

Out of curiosity what don't you like?

I click the app button and all of my favorites are at the bottom. I click, point, and app launched. I personally find the Roku slower without my magic pointer, but to each their own.

On my CX the Roku via HDMI has a slight color/saturation change that I don't like as much as the native color processing. My only complaint long ago was that LG didn't have the Fox Sports app for 4K streaming but now YTTV has it...
