Looking for a new game. Which of these are worth the play through. Typical games are Fallout, GTA, Last of Us type games. I do not do much multiplayer online, so looking for a good story and fun game at the same time.

I really enjoyed Ghost of Tsushima, it's a gorgeous game and a lot of fun. I wasn't very good at the beginning but once you get the hang of the combat it's great.

Ghost is an amazing game - the story is excellent, the atmosphere is gorgeous, and the combat feels rewarding.

I haven't played an AC game on over ten years since they feel formulaic. Granted, Ghost is also an open world game so they've all got similarities... +1 for Ghost

+1 for Ghost. Amazing game and very beautiful to look at as you play.

Ghost is on sale for the PlayStation Black Friday sale right now.

Assassins Creed Valhalla is part of the PlayStation Plus Extra Collection

Ghost has a better story, Valhalla is a longer game.

Both of them are largely cut from the same cloth in terms of the type of game they are/play as.

Overall, I enjoyed the scenery and style of Ghost more, but on a mechanical level it wasn't really much better (if it was better at all) than any of the recent AC entries.

I also hated that Ghost "railroaded" the story in certain ways - if you play the entire game as an honorable samurai, you still get chastised exactly the same as if you used every dirty trick in the book.

Haven't played Ghost, but seems like it's a winner based on everyone else's experience.

I really enjoyed AC Odyssey, but didn't get the same kind of feelings about Valhalla. It's a fine game, but Odyssey was more enjoyable for me in comparison.

In addition to the two games you asked about here I'd recommend Horizon Zero Dawn if you haven't played that. The horizon games and the last of us games are my favorite PlayStation games I've played.

Yeah the two Horizon games (and DLC for the first one) are great.

Ghost is basically Assassin's Creed in Japan, but with a much better combat system. Another vote for Ghost.

I love Valhalla but I am a big fan of viking stuff over samari.

Zero Dawn is fantastic.

Another vote for Ghost, I like the combat better than Valhalla and it is a really beautiful game, the Yuriko side quest is one of the most touching side quests I have ever played in a game, very well done

The Frozen Wilds DLC might be my favorite part from all the games, it was a ton of fun.

While playing Ghosts, I felt like it was a very polished version of Assassin's Creed. It has a lot of the same tropes and gameplay motifs (though I thought the dueling was pretty cool), but it seemed to do most of it better. Valhalla is decent, but it felt a bit directionless when it came to the narrative. It is absolutely monstrous in size, though, so it'll certainly last you a long time if you do everything.

Xbox only. Valhalla is fun and gorgeous, but starts to border on repetitive by the end.

Went with Ghost. Really fun game so far. Could have used a warning about the hot springs though

There's a reason why it's not called "average-looking springs."
