Anyone purchased and played this yet? Is it as legit as the reviews are making it sound?

Looks a lot like Final Fantasy: Tactics. Ill be keeping an eye on it.

What a weird name though.

I haven't played it but judging by their Bravely Default stuff, should fit right in. Their style is actually probably better for a Tactics game than a normal narrative adventure.

There is a playable demo that carries over your data. Does the first 3 chapters. Im favorably impressed.

I'm optimistic for this one - hoping that it's in the same league as FFT or Tactics Ogre. I keep hoping for a FFT remake but hopefully this will scratch that itch.

This appears to be much shorter than Tactics. Maybe 20 to 25 hours without grinding or min maxing. Lots of replayability from your choices. I played the demo twice to go both routes. It's been enjoyable and I can see some of the fights on hard being quite challenging.

I just barely started it late last night - is there no way to just do random encounters and grind?

I'm sure they'll port it eventually. Then re-release a special edition. Then re-release a pixel remaster. And charge full price for all of them.

Sure is go to the encampment, go to the tavern guy at the bar in the back and do the mental mock battles. Can grind for xp and materials. Also affects the invisible conviction tally.

Sweet thanks. I am old school, if I can't grind in a game and waste hours playing then I'm disappointed.

I started a few days ago with only a few hours in. I like the battle system so far. Graphics look good to me. I really enjoy that type of style. It feels like its filling that hole of Ogre Battle 64 from many years ago.

The stuff where you can create pools of water and electrocute the water area is great. You can also create using items burnable areas and such. I'm enjoying so far.

I had to get my butt kicked about 5 times on the tourney battle till it clicked. Now that I understand the mechanics a bit better, I'm really enjoying it.

For a hoarder like me, a little sad there isn't more variety and gear collecting, special weapons, etc. but I think the weapon system will grow on me as I get further in the game since you can kind of "customize" it.

These reviews please me. I'm wrapping up a few games but I'll be on this one soon. FFT is a top-10 game for me, and I loved Ogre Battle 64.

Really enjoying the combat in this game. At first I didn't like the idea of not having characters able to switch job classes, but it really hasn't bothered me much because of how unique each unit is and how well they interplay with each other.

I felt like in FFT I could pretty much throw any group of 5 out there and win, but in this game I put a decent amount of thought into which units are going to be best for the battle up ahead.
