People still play that game? I know it's a comment I see pretty often, but there are literally DOZENS of us (and allegedly one million pre-orders) who are still playing. There are some of us who are so addicted they've even grinded out the Forerunner exotic catalyst (that's me). Looking forward to seeing more of y'all on February 22, 2022 when The Witch Queen launches.















Purchasing Destiny 2
The base game is being changed up and will be much different going forward, but it is still free to play. The Shadowkeep and Beyond Light expansions will be able to be purchased separately but not required for the new Witch Queen expansion.

Destiny 2 released Cross-Save last year which will lets us jump between different platforms to help each other out. Destiny 2 is available for PC (Steam), PS5/4, XBOX, and Google Stadia (LOL).

Vaulting in Year 5
Beginning on February 22, the Forsaken campaign and the Tangled Shore destination will enter the DCV (Note: The Dreaming City destination will continue to be available), along with Year 4 Seasonal content, including the Presage and Harbinger Exotic missions. The Dead Man's Tale and Hawkmoon exotic weapons found in the Presage and Harbinger missions will be available weekly from Xur with random rolls.

Here's a quick list of things to do tonight before like 6pm or whenever the servers go down.

• Turn in all Gunsmith Materials as they are being removed from the game.
• Collect all your rewards you haven't yet collected from everyone like Zavala, Shaxx, Drifter, Saint 14, etc.
• Item Managers like DIM and the Companion app are likely to be down for a while, get the load outs you want to use tomorrow on your character now and move anything you might want to use off your other characters and in your vault. It'll save you a character swap or two. The current anti champion mods confirmed are Anti-Barrier: Scouts and Bows, Overload: AutoRifles and SMGS, Unstoppable: Glaive and something else.

These aren't necessary to do but have caused bugs in the past so being pre-emptive might help.

• Remove all of the current seasonal mods you have on your armor. If you search DIM for this search you can see all the items with a season mod equipped. Having the previous season's mods equipped when they get removed from the game has caused bugs in the past.

• Remove the 12% XP Boost choice from your Ghost but definitely make sure you have the 10% one on. Same reason as above, the 12% mod option is a seasonal thing and is going to be removed.

Some tips for when you first log in to play

• To get the biggest xp jump on your seasonal artifact, you should do two things. Wait until you actually receive the artifact during the seasonal quest to turn in any bounties you may have hoarded while also being in a fireteam with someone who has unlocked the season rank that gives 2% fireteam xp boost. Apparently you must be on a destination to receive that bonus not just in orbit. You should definitely make sure the first thing you do is give your ghost the highest xp boost option available.

I broke down about 6600. It was worth it to me for the legendary shards since I didn't have a huge pile of them

So for anyone on PS4 still... There is a total of 70GB (3 files in total) that you'll have to download by starting up Witch Queen for the first time. Thought I was good to go with pre-loading Witch Queen but apparently not

Thank goodness for cross save and cross play. Don't have to deal with PS's download BS anymore.

Just started up my PS5 to start the downloads and left it in Rest Mode - won't be able to play until tomorrow though.

Come join the Texags clan that Prime posted in the OP. Since Destiny went cross platform, it is no longer just PSN only. A number of us are always on and we typically coordinate things like raids and playing together in other activities in our discord.

Guess who finally got to buy a PS5 from Sony.

Put in some promotional codes and registered to get a chance to buy directly from Sony. I got an email saying I was selected and would have a chance to buy it during a several hour window today, got in like 10 seconds after my approved time slot started and it said it's over an hour wait. That quickly dropped to like 20 minutes and they posted a message on the page saying Stock is available but being in the queue does not guarantee availability. It's finally my turn and it says "Out of Stock" for both versions. I'm pissed, I started a rant here and was considered dropping playstation for xbox or maybe just upgrade my pc but then I noticed I'm not logged in at the top of the page. I log in and both versions say they're in stock. Should be getting it in a few days I think.
