How long do you want to ignore this user?
I have an iPhone and recently when i get on my chrome app, I get a pop up that says:

"Device Policy Alert"
Your org requires you to set a passcode on this device to access this account. Please set passcode and try again"

I just have a personal gmail account, haven't made any changes to its settings, and have never had a password to open my phone (and don't want one)!so not sure what's going on and/or how to get rid of it.

It is malware triggered by an ad that is on the page your browsing.

Do not enter a password, they are hoping that you use one password everywhere and they will start hitting sites to see what they can steal using your credentials.

Unfortunately, preventing malicious ads like this is next to impossible.

It happens before I even get to a page. Just on the home page of chrome before i even type anything....?

Any other ideas?

Do you have your work email setup on the device? They can push policies like this through the email connection.

My work does this, but it usually only pops up when adding the account. Plus I doubt a legit policy notification uses "org" versus "organization".

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

I have a personal gmail and we own our own business so I have a "work" email, but it isn't controlled by anyone but us. It's just a g-suite business email.

Tried uninstalling app and reinstalling but still popping up. But yes, the use of "org" seems fishy to me.

May have to go back to safari...blah.

Turn off device management in g-suite.
