If you were expecting a message from TCH, I think it's definitely legit. Different story if it's completely out of the blue as I'm sure you would've written it off as well.

I don't like it, why can't they use an email server from their own domain?

Me personally, I would be suspicious and try to call someone first.

Any email that is flagged as potentially having PHI in it is going to go through the secure email channel.

This is pretty common with the secure messaging systems I've dealt with in healthcare. In my facility, we type [encrpyt] in the subject of any email that contains PHI and any recipients outside of our domain will get a message like that to log into a secure messaging site to view the email for HIPAA compliance.

When I clicked on the hospital's logo. It took me to Texaschildrenshospital.org and currently not working. TcH website is texaschildrens.org That's why I got a little suspicious
