DirecTV recievers don't get HD after power surge?

During the storms yesterday we had a power surge and after the DirecTV receivers rebooted we didn't have service for another half hour or so. Then when the receivers did come back on, the signal coming in was no longer HD quality on all three of our receivers. I did a little bit of internet sleuthing to figure out how to check all my settings to make sure it wasn't some setting that had to be changed or reset to fix the problem, but so far my trouble shooting have come to no avail, hence my posting on The Nerdery for technical advice BEFORE I call DirecTV and have them come out to the house to inspect our equipment/dish/etc.

- Under "Settings - Display - Video" whether I have "Native" set to "on" or "off" doesn't seem to make a difference
- Under "Settings - Display - TV Ratio" it is set to "Widescreen 16:9"
- Under "Settings - Display - TV Resolutions" I have the boxes for 480i and 480p unchecked and 720p, 1080i, and 7080p checked
- Under "Settings - Preferences" I've still got "Hide SD duplicates" selected
- While the receivers do not appear to be getting an HD signal currently, I can watch recorded shows (DVR) on all three receivers in crystal-clear HD brilliance, and the programming coming in through the Rokus displays in its normal HD quality as well

I took a look outside (from ground level) at the satellite dish on the roof and it doesn't appear that there's any damage or obstructions... but of course I can't tell that for sure.

I've reset two of the receivers last night ( after they rebooted themselves after the power outage/surge) and that appears not to have solved the problem either.

My thinking is, could the power outage/surge have killed the capacity of the satellite dish to process an HD signal but an SD one?

Update: Out of frustration (right after I made this initial posting) I reset all the receivers AGAIN (after trying that last night to no avail) and THIS TIME it restored the HD feed to all of my receivers. I have no idea why it would work today but not last night, but whatever.

Mods: Since problem is solved feel free to delete/lock this thread.

PS: By the way losing your signal for an hour during a storm really sucks. Whoever invents the technology that someday allows these signals to cut through all that atmospheric interference is gonna be rich man or woman.

I was told by a tech that during most storms you can switch to a nonhd channel and still get signal. I keep forgetting to try.

will have to try that too next time. I guess my main problem is I hide all the SD versions from the guide

yesterday i did this.

i just switched from dish to directv. so far i'm not at all impressed. the dish OS is far superior. the signal was much less prone to failing. but, when it did, the box would automatically switch to the regular channel.
