Its time for a new phone. Am I crazy if I buy a Droid Turbo over a G4 or S6? Even though its a little more dated and doesnt have the latest chipset, I like that the Droid is a little smaller and fits the hand better and has huge battery.

Lots of complaints by Turbo owners about waiting for software upgrades that older and lesser phones got sooner.

I dont mind not having the latest version of android. I really dont see what the fuss is about. Sometimes the updates bring big changes but most of the time an update doesnt change the way I use my phone. In fact, I prefer other phones to get the updates to expose the bugs before it hits my phone.

Turbo is getting Android 5.1 today/this week on most carriers.

I have a Turbo and love it. It replaced an LG G2.

My Turbo just got 5.1 today during lunch. Was initially a little angry with how long it took but after hearing about how many issues people had with 5.0 I'm kinda happy they waited for 5.0. Turbos battery is pretty damn nice and I like the form factor.

Downloaded 5.1 last night and installed it this morning. It's butter.

I read a while back that 5.0 was never going to go to the Turbo because it reportedly didn't mesh well with the Turbo. So, it wasn't necessarily a delay, but doing the best thing for the users. In that same story, it said the Turbo would get 5.1 and regular updates thereafter. Sorry, no link, I don't remember where I read it.

The Turbo is only on Verizon, correct? There isn't an international version that would be compatible with ATT LTE?

As far as I know, yes, it's only on Verizon.

I'll never own another Motorola phone.
