BACKGROUND:
I had UVerse internet, and I had no issues connecting to the internet. Last weekend, we got AT&T Gigapower installed. PS4, cell phones, tablets, Chromebook all connect without issue. My work laptop connects without issue.
My older Dell XPS will not. Deleted all my work VPN stuff and still no dice. Hooked it up to the ethernet from the new router, and it connects, but isn't terribly fast.
So I check my wireless card and it looks to be an 802.11 a/b/g. I don't think that's the problem, but I'm about out of options. I'm wondering if I need n or ac to make this thing work.
We're thinking about buying a new laptop since this one is getting up there anyway, but it occurred to me that something like this might solve my problem for 1/10th the cost.
I might but it an see if it works and then return it if it doesn't. Anyone else have any ideas?
