Entouch is now offering gigabit internet in Cinco Southwest, Sienna Plantation, and Riverstone. Took them a few weeks to get it right, but they seem to know what they're doing now.

So I have a question about this. Is gigabit Internet really worth it yet? I would think that not matter how fast your download speed is, you are going to be bottlenecked by the source's speed and your NIC hardware. It all seems great in theory, but that's like buying a car that can do 1,000 mph, when the speed limit is 65

I thought I'd let my fellow nerds know that it is available in the Tine area. They're not really advertising it that much, I just happened to stumbled across it. It took a few weeks for them to get the right guys out here to know what they were doing. They'll eventually be rolling it out to their other neighborhoods in the Tine area.
So you work for them. Not a very subtle humble brag.....

I couldn't complain about the download but I do a lot of backing up to the "Cloud" and remote login to my server and love the faster upload. Just for fun I uploaded 8 gigs of our wedding photos to Smugmug in about 45 minutes last night.

My speedtest this morning. $70 a month in Smithville.

I like the speed because when multiple users are streaming or gaming it doesn't bog down.
