Saw this indie game available on Steam for early access and couldn't resist. I've played it for a couple hours now and it has potential. I can already see how it would be a lot cooler playing with a crew of 5-10 people.

What I like about it so far:
- Sandbox mode allows you to mess with a lot of settings
- Walking around breaking into homes/garages and looting them is pretty fun
- Seems like a cool system with plenty of options to potentially craft a lot of items. I spent a while gathering wood planks, nails, and a hammer and was able to build a section of fence. Doing this by yourself takes a long time so it would be cool to be working with a group and you could build a secure compound.
- I haven't gotten to mess with this yet but there is gardening stuff in the game and I think you could turn part of your compound into a farm and make it sustainable
- The game borrows several aspects from The Sims. For instance, in the homes you're looting you can find books on carpentry, cooking, gardening and so forth and read them, thereby giving yourself skills needed to do more things. Also, like in The Sims you have to be mindful of your character's needs for food, water, and rest.
What I don't like so far:
- The music kind of annoys me. They did a good job of integrating it so that it gets more intense when zombies come after you, but some of the music they used is that generic moaning Middle Eastern lady music.
- The interface needs work
- I'm not sure if there are vehicles or if they are planning on adding them, but that would add a lot to the game.
So, in conclusion, for an indie game in development stage, PZ shows a lot of promise. If some of y'all end up getting it let me know and we can form a team.
