Probably still going to have high ping. If they don't have data caps, then they sound alright.

They're part of the same company that owns Wild Blue. We had WB for several years, and they were great at first (for satellite internet), but as time went on it went from great to bad to atrocious customer service. We dropped them for HughesNet Gen 4. It's pretty good (again, considering that it's satellite internet).

They do have data caps, pretty draconian ones in my opinion. In fact, the caps for Exede are worse than they were for WB, and those were pretty bad. Things may have gotten better in the last couple of years, but if I were you I'd approach with caution.

I love living in the sticks, but damn does satellite internet suck.

Exede internet is ok for satellite but it does have caps.

Where are you located? Have you thought about a fixed wireless solution?

Search for Wireless Internet Providers (WISP) in your area.

I have excede and the service works really well for what it is. You can stream easily, surfing is not bad. No gaming because of the high pings.

The data cap sucks. I never got close to the cap until recently when my 2 year old wants to watch youtube videos all the time.

I had wireless and it sucked balls.
