Do the players on your ultimate team have a certain number of games they can play before they "expire"? If so, how do we know how many games they have left?

Yes. They start out with 25 remaining and you can get extensions added thru cards you can win or buy with coins you've won. If you look at their card, it says the number of games remaining on the flip side.

Alright, thanks. Is the only way to ensure that the player's games left don't decrease is by placing him in the reserves? For instance, placing a player on the bench alone is not enough to keep his games left from decreasing?

You can use those "game extension" collectibles on the players that need it.

so, how you guys doin so far in ultimate? i am sitting at 21-8. i would say 3 of the loses are because of disconection but one i was actually behind. three offensive lineman and one lb are silver rest are gold. Normally a dynasty guy but with the new recruiting i have found myself hooked on the ultimate team mode right now.

So far I'm 3-4. My team is pretty mediocre, how were you able to get all those good players? Did your team start off bad too?

Go do the training and achieve gold.

In one of my first matches I played a guy who had 90+ talent across the board. Makes for a miserable experience when you get beat that badly, so I haven't been back.

Maybe when I get done with the other modes I'll come back and try to make an aggie legends team or something

My 3rd team I played was like that. He had Andre Ware, and for some reason EA gave him a very high speed rating, so he would just run around all my defenders. That's another complaint I have about this mode, all of the players they use aren't rated correctly and don't play like they do (or did) in real life. It's kinda sad because I feel like this game mode would have been amazing if they had just put more time into it, but it just came out sloppy.

I actually love this mode and played it until a complete roster came out. I found a good method to flip cards and made out like a bandit. Earned about 160K coins so far but spent most upgrading my team. Then I sold off my older players and made back some good coin with that and flipping elites and legendaries (sitting on close to 90K now). Problem with that... and like what I did with Diablo3, I ended up "playing" the auction house.

For instance, on Monday evening, I played NCAA 2014 for 3 hours. NEVER PLAYED AN ACTUAL GAME. I realized i had spent the whole time on the AH flipping cards. Yes, I upgraded my team to 93, but spent so much time selling or snipe/flipping for a few K coins.

Still, I do like this mode and will continue to do the weekly challenges and Heisman collectible part. Also, even with a 90+ team, you can still get your arse handed to you if you suck. I don't suck, but I'm just sayin

How do you get the elite cards? I spent a lot of time yesterday upgrading my team through the Nike Skills trainer and by doing the card pack give away if you play the demo, and my team is barely 80 overall. I also have around 2000 coins as of now... how the heck did you get that much? Are you actually buying (using real money) to purchase the card packs?

The auction is the way to go if you are trying to get coin. Im sitting at 94 overall now. ive done a lot of flipping cards as well. I started off with the basic team and havent spent a cent on packs. its a little time consuming but you can buy a couple of players cheap of auction and then sell them at a higher price. I will say that im at the point though where im just saving coin to get elites now. Ive bought over 25+ packs with coins earned and havent been fortunate to earn even 1 elite. So just figure out what you want. Also the tips for the auction i have are #1. the auction goes in 15 second intervals. so biding 15 or 10 seconds before auction ends will allow you to steal a couple guys. Also ive noticed that o-line, def secondary, DE's, Wr, and Dt's are the best bet to make a profit (in that order). QB's and HB's are a risk to make a profit unless they are high gold or higher. hopefully this helps some.

I had my first experience with the auction yesterday. I guess the trick is to find out what cards are steals, and what is the best price to sell them back for.

Good info. Also ac04, I can now see why :/ Spent another 3 hours last night upgrading my team by flipping cards. Went from just over 100K before the latest upgrades to 4K after then back up to 40K after selling some of the positions I upgraded.

just to update anyone who is interested, i am sitting at a 47-17 record and have recently realized that a lot of ppl are hiding their teams rating so they get paired with lower teams that dont have the players to compete with them. I think it is laughable that ncaa doesnt just account the best players on an active roster and go from there but when ppl are paying for players and still feel the need to cheat the only thing you can do is hide your lvl as well unless you want to get torched up and down the field.

How do you hide your level? I think this has been the case for me; I've played people that have had all their players with ratings above 90, while my team rating was in the 70's.

What you do is look at your roster figure out top players and then put lowest rated player as the starter. Ex. Putting CB as QB. Then when u get in game sub in the real starters.

It is addicting, and you can play against the computer if you hate playing against other people.

I keep getting matched up with people who glitch and it's not fun.

My team right now is rated a 93, been hitting the auction house hard and got lucky with a few packs of cards from winning the weekly cpu series.

I am addicted to this mode. I've barely played any of the others. I'll try to take the auction advice and also the skills trainer to get $$.

And I can't beat the ACC team..... EJ Manuel was 13/13 for 232 yards and 3 TD. My team is 72 overall.

Picked up the Flutie Heisman Hopeful for 3.2k coins today. Lots of good deals in auction if you hit it at the right time.

The new challenge is tough. Lost the first time by a lot couldn't slow down Bo. Second attempt was better, but still lost to a last second FG.
