How long do you want to ignore this user?
Is my calculator toast/messed up? Or is there a mode I need to toggle?

For reference, it is in Degrees mode.

Example:
Trying to enter 45^45'45":
Type 45, [2nd], [math], [F3], [F1]
Type 45, [2nd], [math], [F3], [F3]
Type 45, [2nd], [math], [F3], [F3]

This shows as 45^45'45' on the command line, and when I hit enter results in 2058.75. I was expecting 45.7625.

If I enter: 45^45'
Type 45, [2nd], [math], [F3], [F1]
Type 45, [2nd], [math], [F3], [F3]

Hitting enter results in 2025.

It appears to use the "^ (degrees)" symbol as a multiplication, and not sure what the "minutes" sign is used for, also, the TI-86 doesnt appear to have a "seconds" symbols.

Anyone familiar with the TI-86?

In summary, you use ' for everything.

So 45 deg 3 minutes 30 seconds goes in as 45'3'30'

Wow, cant believe I didnt try that. I wonder why they even include the degrees symbol in the math menu.

Thanks.

Does it divide by 60?

You didn't account for the conveyor belt, rendering everything else moot.

IIRC, the ° symbol lets you use trig functions in degrees when the calculator mode is set to radians.
