I'm on outlook and it was sent from another company.

Undisclosed recipients really means other people were BCC'd on the email. Some senders put ALL the recipients on BCC. The purpose of BCC is to not reveal who else saw the email. So why should you be able to see who they are? If you could, BCC would be useless.

Yea, that's what I figured. Was wondering if there was a way to "hack" the list

My point, perhaps not made clearly, is that there better NOT be a way to hack the list. When I use BCC, I want it protected. I don't want you, or anyone else, to see whow was BCC'd.

I doubt it can be hacked unless you get "inside" the email system. I think BCC causes the list of recipients to not be included in the email package. So it isn't there at all in the email you received. It is present only inside the system, from the sender's "sent" email list.

In order to see the full list, you would have to have access to the SMTP server that handled the receiving of the email. You can check the server logs and see who else was included

This is the flaw in BCC, in that it should really send a separate email for each BCC address listed, with some other mechanism to included the To: and CC: without delivering

BCC is stupid, as are those who abuse it.

BCC has its use. It is just overused.

The fact that it informs recipients if BCC was used via the "undisclosed recipients" tag kind of makes BCC worthless IMO.

Unless there's a way to stop it from doing that and I just don't know how.

If a salesman is sending an email out to a list of customers I prefer it being a BCC rather than everyone having my email.
