Found an app in the apple store that will enable your iPhone (any carrier) to tether internet data to your computer. If interested, you should download quick .... it will probably get pulled soon.

The problem with any app is more about the fact that they can almost all be detected if the carrier cares to check and less about access, I would think.

When apps get pulled, do you get to keep them installed, or does Apple remove them remotely?

Apple does not remotely wipe them. You can still use the app after downloading. It's just a matter of time till your app doesn't work with the next iOS update.

I occasionally use Tether even though Apple yanked it. Works great
