How long do you want to ignore this user?
So... typical comcast...

Went to get a regular HD cable box so I could finally have the glory of HD channels. I brought it home and it says "Your EXPLORER settop is NOT AUTHORIZED for use. Please call......"

I called them and they were able to send a signal to reset the box and it turned off and it still shows the same screen. They said I either have to go replace the box or to have a technician come to me in a few days. Is there anything I can do because google is not prevailing, or am I SOL and I have to go wait in the mile long comcast line at the store?

Its the Cisco RNG150N btw.

Try doing the self-activation: https://activate.comcast.com/RoutingEngine/comflow.do?source=.COM&time=rEw7Krn9KYm5bAo9R7nM2w%3d%3d&hmac=Hov5jApNUNCkLoAFZhLAjXQe5ou51mCQl7n%2bAB1MwLhPYVVz2BVytHxzcxgNxFHALzlYzGIbca%2btQFlEdXrmGw%3d%3d

If it still isn't working after that, pull the power on it for a few seconds, then plug it in again.

If it still doesn't work, you're probably SOL.
