I would like to get more channels than what XFINITY offers with its basic channels.

Is there a service or availible technology that I can use to get some bundle of channels cheaper than through XFINITY?

Not the actual channels per say, but random shows/features/series from channels. You can probably go browse the selections right now without a membership if you're curious.
