Best Domain Registrar, Hosting Value?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Been a while since I messed with web design, but would like to register a domain and set up a site.

This isn't going to be a heavy investment, just something casual to share pics and some video for a hobby of mine (insert 'adult website' jokes here...).

Anyway, what's the best option for where to register, and host (I'm more concerned with the hosting, but then in reading some of the fine print, it appears some companies that do the registrations charge kickers for domain forwarding).

Thanks in advance,

Hilariously, no one mentions the forum sponsor.

Sorry HostWink.

For registrations, I have godaddy, namecheap, and netfirms. Netfirms is the cheapest I've found for first year registrations and the more I use them, the more I like their interface for warehousing domains. The thing I don't like is the user id is the first domain you register and its unlikely I'll keep that domain as it isn't useful to me.

I don't recommend namecheap. Once, I opened it and found all my domains gone. My account had been hacked and they took no responsibility for it, including lying to me about what happened.

I use Server Logistics and really like them, for a low cost option DreamHost is solid.
