So I finally got NCAA Football 2012 about a month ago and saw "Program Stability" gradually go from an "A" in year 1 to a "D" currently. What controls Program Stability?

Is it cutting players? I over signed by a few the previous year.

Is it changing coaching philosophy? I altered A&M's standard playbook to add a few formations.

i think it has to do with your contract... once you complete your first and sign a second long term one it should go up.

The biggest adjustment I've made in my first 2 years of the dynasty is going from actively recruiting ~25 prospects at the start of the season to just focusing in on 15 of the best recruits/most immediate needs instead in an effort to allocate more time per recruit.

Yeah you cannot hope to sign 20-25. Focus on 12-14.

This game needs to get with the program and allow you to have an 80 or 90 man roster. Im tired of having to cut good recruits because of the stupid roster limit.

Recruiting in that game is very stupid and easily manipulated.

I always use 60 on my top 10 guys, until I see exactly who else is recruiting them. Continue to do 60 on guys that have multiple offers, and I usually do 30 on the ones that end up not being recruited by anyone else.

One trick is after the first week, go through and see which 4 stars don't have any offers - there will usually be some at multiple positions. Even if they don't have any interest in your school, you can usually snag a few if nobody else gets on them quick enough.

Yeah, recruiting in the game definitely seems to be designed by someone who doesn't passionately follow real college football recruiting.

From an outsider I could see it seeming logical for making the optimum strategy be zeroing in on your very most desired prospects. Meanwhile in real college football recruiting most schools offer 50+ prospects. A&M has already offered 71.

Having said that, I can also see how only having to focus on 10-15 recruits could be more enjoyable for the casual college football fan rather than having to chase down over 50 prospects.
