Any Uverse users have Windows Media Center connected to their 360?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
My PC is not detecting my 360 on my network when I attempt to connect them. My PC is wireless and my 360 is wired (this is probably part of the problem). I have no extra firewalls on my PC other than the Windows Firewall and I have media extenders allowed.

I'm using the Uverse router,2Wire 3800HGV-B, and opened these ports for my 360. I didn't know how to do the last two random ports, not sure if they're important.

I read somewhere that my router should have UPnP enabled and I read somewhere else that my router doesn't have this feature.

Ideas?

You don't need to enable UPnP on the router but you may need it enabled on your PC.

Do you have Win 7, xp or vista? Being wireless / wired shouldn't matter at all.

Did you open media center on the PC and try to find the extender (360) or try to find the PC from the 360?

Running Windows 7.

Opened Media Center on PC, selected option to add extender, chose Media Center on my 360, copied the code, pressed A to advance to the next screen where it said it was waiting, plugged in the 8 digit code to the PC, it attempted to connect and could never locate the 360.

FYI, the typical uverse wireless is too slow to properly stream WMP to an Xbox. I wasn't able to do it until I set up a wireless N router on my network and just used the uverse box as a modem.

Too slow for streaming recorded TV shows too then?

Still can't figure out how to configure my router properly to have the 2 connect.

I have got it to work on mine (with uverse), I thought mine wasn't working for a while but it was just taking a really long time to load (like 5-10 minutes) and then once it did there was like a 5 second delay with every action and not worth using.

Wow. So is a N-router really needed? I have a Wireless-G Linksys that I was considering hooking up, but I guess it wouldn't be worth it?

This was my experience exactly. I actually haven't used the xbox stream feature since I set up the wireless N router. I really set it up to be able to stream from NAS (Network Access Storage) drive to my laptop. That also wasn't working over the Uverse wireless, but it worked after I set up the new router.
