How long do you want to ignore this user?
I feel like I'm underutilizing my homescreens, so I'm looking for widget suggestions.

My favorites right now are:
Beautiful Widget
Google Voice
SetCPU
Pandora
Music
The extended power control widget built into CM6

Only two I use are Beautiful Widgets Home (cropping the weather portion out with Launcher Pro Plus), and BattStatt.

I hate widgets for the most part, most people's droids look like they added every widget they could find.

I agree for the most part Ogle but I just feel like I'm missing stuff. My screens are pretty clean.

So Ogle...instead of using widgets to fill up the multiple home screens you get, what are you supposed to do, just place every app icon on there? Leave it empty and waste all that space?

Most widgets only serve a function when their particular app is in use, i.e. Pandora. The rest of the time, they are taking up space, and look ugly to boot.

I find it much easier to manage open apps from the notification bar, instead of cluttering up my beautiful minimalistic homescreens.

Whats the point of making them ALL minimalistic? You don't see the "clutter" unless to move to that page.
You're just not making use of the space you have available.

I keep a pretty minimalist desktop on my PC/laptop, but to me, android homepages != Windows desktop

I love widgets. They give your phone character and make it stick out. I love the launcher pro messaging and calendar widgets. I usually wont just open those apps blindly so the widgets force me to notice what's coming up or what I've been chatting about. They are scrollable too, which is nice. I also like the photo frame widgets. Pictures of my wife are a nice touch. The google news widget makes me catch a glance of interesting news to read now and then so I use it. And of course I use beautiful smaller home as well. That's about it for my widget use. I did use twitter and facebook widgets before I found tweetdeck.

On my main home screen I just use Beautiful Widgets Home (small) and BattStat. I like the minimalist.

On the screens to the left of the main one I have Pure Calendar Widget and that Android power control widget.

That's about it for my widgets though.

I'd have to agree with the crowd. The thread title says "Best Android Widgets". Stick to that.
